Day Camp
Bridge of Hope offers free day camp for age 6-12; Monday through Thursday, 11am - 3pm for six weeks in the summer (three in June and three in July). We also provide transportation to and from the camp (up to a five mile radius around the church) and free lunch for all the children.
Many economically disadvantaged families are unable to afford traditional camps or summer programs for their children and struggle to find opportunities for their children to be engaged during the day.
Our purpose is to provide a free and safe environment for the children to learn, play, create, discover and grow, and to build relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ.
At camp, kids learn about God’s love for them, play group games & in ‘free play,’ create in craft time, discover on our field trips, build relationship with God and others.
Join us! There are many ways to get involved in our summer day camps!
-
Bring a group to lead a week! Groups come from all over the Midwest to lead each week of day camp, while Bridge of Hope volunteers provide the lunch and extra support.
-
Provide financially! In order to keep the day camp and filed trips free for the families, we need the financial assistance of others to help offset the costs of: lunches, transportation, filed trip destinations, and building expenses
-
Donate items! Donations are always helpful, such as: toward food for lunches, water to keep the children hydrated, toilet paper and paper towels for the bathrooms, chalk, jump ropes, bubbles and other items for ‘free play’
Your donation can go a long way in providing a child with an opportunity to attend a summer of day camp!
